Setting up Acrobits Groundwire on your Mobile Device

Requirements

  • JVoIP username, password and domain (sent separately)
  • Apple iPhone iOS 10.0 or later (iPad unsupported)
  • Apple iPod Touch iOS 10.0 or later
  • Android 5.0 or greater
  • Apple App Store or Google Play store.
  • Highspeed Internet service over WIFI, 4G or LTE
    • Note: Not all wireless carriers support VoIP technology.

Apple iPhone

1. Install Acrobits Groundwire app from Apple App Store by scanning this code from your phone:

  1. Tap on Settings, then Accounts, then Add New Provider +
  2. Search for JVoIP Telecom on the list of carriers.
  3. Enter your username (e.g. 1000), password and domain provided separately.
  4. Press Save to add your account.
  5. Press back button twice.
  6. Your account should register on the top-left of the keypad.

Android Phone

1. Install Groundwire VOIP SIP Softphone app from Google Play Store by scanning this code:

  1. AGREE to Personal Data Protection
  2. ALLOW Microphone Permission
  3. ALLOW Phone Permission
  4. ALLOW Contact Permission
  5. ALLOW Fullscreen Incoming Calls
  6. Tap on Settings, then SIP Accounts, then Add New Provider
  7. Search for JVoIP Telecom on the list of carriers.
  8. Enter your username (e.g. 1000), password and domain provided separately.
  9. Tap on OK and to add your account.
  10. Press back button twice.
  11. Your account should register on the top-left of the keypad.

At this point, your account should register. If successful, you will see your account name circled in GREEN, and a solid green circle at the top of your phone screen. If the green circle is blinking or your name is in red, something was overlooked in the settings.

If successful, test outbound and inbound calling. Also, test voicemail by pressing and holding 1.
